This continuous documentation and evaluation of your therapy may be advantageous if you later apply to your statutory health insurance provider for cost coverage.

SCHENGEN form (travel certificate)

€ 31,78

The SCHENGEN form allows you to take your medicinal cannabis with you to other European countries. There is a specific form for the so-called Schengen area. This only applies to European countries that belong to the Schengen area. Please find out in advance whether the country you are traveling to is part of this area. After we have issued the SCHENGEN form, you will need to have the SCHENGEN form notarized in person by the state authority responsible for you (usually the health authority). Depending on the federal state, there is a fee of €5-15 for this. You can find out which state authority is responsible for you via this link: https://www.bfarm.de/SharedDocs/Downloads/DE/Bundesopiumstelle/Betaeubmittel/Reisen/LaenderlisteBtM.pdf?blob=publicationFile

International travel certificate for third countries

Outside of the SCHENGEN area, other countries allow the import of medicinal cannabis. However, not all countries do. Each country outside the SCHENGEN area also has individual regulations for the entry and exit of cannabis BtM. Sometimes only finished medicinal products may be imported. Some countries do not allow the import of cannabis-based medicines. Please enquire about the individual regulations for the import and export of your cannabis BtM at the relevant embassy before ordering the international travel certificate. After we have issued the international travel certificate, you must have the form notarized in person by the competent state authority (usually the health authority). Depending on the federal state, there is a fee of €5-15 for this. You can find out which state authority is responsible for you via this link: https://www.bfarm.de/SharedDocs/Downloads/DE/Bundesopiumstelle/Betaeubungsmittel/Reisen/LaenderlisteBtM.pdf?__blob=publicationFile

Application for coverage of GKV costs: screening

€ 85,00

For canncura patients: Assessment of suitability and probability of success when applying for cost coverage for cannabis therapy. In the canncura patient portal you will find the item "Optional Service" in the menu. On this page you will also find our "Screening for cost coverage" service. When booking, you will first go through a questionnaire which highlights all the important aspects of your situation in relation to the cost coverage application. We will then assign your screening order to one of our specialised doctors. You will receive a message about this by email and must then conclude the corresponding fee contract digitally via the patient portal. You will then receive your invoice for the screening by email. You can also view and pay this via the patient portal. Once payment has been received, the screening order will be submitted to your doctor. Your doctor will then use the medical documents and information currently available to assess the likelihood of success of an application to your statutory health insurance provider to cover the costs. Please bear in mind that this assessment is based on the information currently available. Your doctor may ask you in advance to upload as many of your medical documents as possible to our patient portal or ask you further questions. The better the briefing for our doctor, the more accurate the assessment of a possible application procedure will be. Once your doctor has issued the screening assessment, you can download it from the canncura patient portal. As soon as it is available, you will be informed by e-mail. Based on this assessment and further information, you can then decide for yourself whether you would first like to compile further documents/findings/evidence etc. or whether you would like to proceed directly with the application process for cost reimbursement.

Application for coverage of GKV costs: application & support

ca. € 200 - 250

We can only prepare and submit your individual application for cost coverage to your statutory health insurance company after you have completed the screening. To this end, canncura cooperates with established specialists (interdisciplinary) who are approved by health insurance companies. You will receive further information and details about the process from us by email.

Up to 6 cannabis medicines per prescription request

kostenlos

The pharmaceutical cannabis market is in a constant state of flux. There are now more than 300 different varieties of cannabis that are marketable and available in pharmacies for dispensing to patients. The selection of discontinued extracts is also constantly growing. Many testimonials from our patients and the results of scientific studies suggest that choosing the right flower variety(ies) or cannabis varieties in general can be a trial-and-error process. Often, different personal experiences with different genetics or crosses, different terpene profiles, certain compositions of cannabinoid content or different dosage forms are needed to optimise a therapy with cannabis-based medicines. Patients are also often interested in being able to take advantage of favourable offers from various pharmacies. Many of our patients report that switching between the different cannabis varieties from time to time can sometimes counteract the onset of tolerance. According to many of our patients' testimonials, this is also evident during targeted therapy breaks in order to specifically address the cannabinoid receptors in the cells and "keep them more receptive". Some of our patients prefer certain varieties for daytime therapy and others for the evening and night. The backgrounds are varied, as are the situation and treatment goals of our patients. We therefore adapt the cannabis therapy to the needs of our patients: You can request up to 6 different cannabis medications per order after consultation with your doctor. If you select more than three cannabis medicines when configuring your prescription via the canncura patient portal, we will automatically create two prescriptions for you at the same price of €19.92 (including dispatch by registered post). Important information when changing the variety or dosage form of cannabis-based medicines: A new dosing phase is required. Different strains and dosage forms can have different effects and the strength of the effect and its effects can vary greatly. Particular caution is required if you use several varieties and take part in road traffic. You must not drive during the dosing phase. Before each journey, you must critically check for yourself whether you are fit to drive at that time and can, for example, take part in road traffic. The use of alcohol and/or other drugs is strictly prohibited during treatment with cannabis-based medication. Interactions and side effects can have life-threatening consequences in this context. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your doctor.
